A slow first month of the New Year

I feel like time is moving by really slowly. I want to speed things up fast-forward on all the weekdays and slow down again in the weekends. Is that too much to ask?! Come on.

:-(

(Picture is unrelated, but I had to upload because I love the weird red dots that suddenly appeared while I played with a photo-editing program) :-D

Update

I acquired this book at an art museum called Arken. I really like the portraits within the book and without a doubt, Andy Warhol was a great artist! I really want to create some paintings in the true style of Andy Warhol some day, and I sure will. It is such an elegant style, which enhances the portrayed person’s features.

BTW, I am getting this TV:

… And I am leaving for London next tuesday! Cheers!

Hello again!

Hi, peeps long time no see, yes, I know.

Let us begin with this, if I say so myself, delicious picture:

We had my mother’s swedish family visiting last week, which was a little chaotic (little children = noise!) It was fine.

Saturday night they returned to Sweden after having visited the Danish amusement park “Bakken” with us. Getting back home from the amusement park proved to be difficult because we entered a torrent on our way… It was madness! The roads in Copenhagen were sailing filled with water. I saw a sewer top fly up from the ground and a water pillar burst up from the sewer in the middle of the road by a traffic light. I feared that the car would break down from the massive water masses… Fortunately my father was capable of getting us home safe without any standstills caused by the rain. It felt so surreal, by the way, like, this could not happen in Denmark and more like something I had seen on the television.

Here is a bad picture that does not justify the floods that ran through Copenhagen.

Yesterday I went to Copenhagen again to go eat at a café with my two friends Sasha and Pernille. Roaming around in the major shopping lanes I noticed a couple of stores closed because of the damage the water had done to e.g. their sewer system.

A little book update is suitable, I think, so here goes:
I have read the following books recently:

1. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand – 435 pages

“It left me wanting to find out what is going to happen next. It is not the greatest book I have read, but with it’s theme being paranormal-angel-love, I think Cynthia Hand did an overall good job with this book.” 3 stars

2. Falling Under by Gwen Hayes – 324 pages

“I am a little confused by this book. It seemed so different in how it was built up – like it was not using any of the normal excitement-building-schemes. I was excited and some times a little impatient, so it was quite the rollercoaster. I liked that it was different but it took some getting used to.

The plot is more new to me than in a lot of other books and combined with the (to me) weird composition it made me like it. – Confused but a little excited by reading this? That is at least how I felt, when I finished the book.

P.S. I really liked Varnie he was like a fresh breath of air or something, a funny character that is not dumbass heroic but sweet and helpful – Amelia OPEN your eyes god damnit! (hee hee…) - 3 stars

3. Divergent by Veronica Roth – 487 pages

“Fan-fucking-tastic!
This book is one of the greater reading pleasures I have had in a while. (though, I have read some good books, too)

I certainly do not think that, it has too much in common with the Hunger Games or other dystopian novels I have read. You should definitely read this book. It is not reminiscent of the Hunger Games, besides being a dystopian!” – 5 stars

4. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare – 485 pages, (I am adding my reading updates, too, on this one.)

07/04 – page 363, 75.0%: “This book feels like watching a soap opera now. Incest-love. I hope not, please fix this mess Cassandra Clare…”
06/30 – page 50, 10.0%: “I don’t have a take on my opinion of this book, YET. But, well, it may be a good thing! ;)”

“It was OK but still, there were some things I thought was TOO weird. Whatever, I will continue reading this series just to see how it turns out.” – 3 stars.

Sincerely yours, The Daydreamer

Everything and the trash can…

I don’t even know if you can say that, LOL.

I haven’t mentioned it yet but I’m an aunt now. My sister gave birth to a wonderful baby boy on june 8th. The delivery was quickly done, though I wasn’t there, my mom updated me the whole night. (I was with my boyfriend in Copenhagen for some days)

Friday I finally met my first little nephew. SO ADORABLE. Yet so tiny and vulnerable I know we’re going to be great friends.

Saturday night on my birthday I went bowling with some girls from my class. It was nice, even though, I’m not sure I ever tried bowling before. I had a short lucky streak with two strikes on my first two tries up until the 3rd round (200 points in the game or something) my luck failed and I think, that I ended up as the latter even though I had the lead for quite some time. I also continued my preparation for my biology exam due monday june 20th (sigh)

The day after my hand was ruined and I still have a little blister on my ring finger. (which totally blows, by the way)  -.-

Sunday I don’t remember very well, I think I spent it playing a little Sims 3 and watched several episodes of The X-files with my boyfriend. I cannot wait to continue watching the series, it’s great entertainment and quite disturbing  and thought-provoking.

Monday I slept in until about 10 AM boyfriend left to go home and I sat in my room bored to death until my parents asked me to join them for a walk with the dog. It ended up being a difficult stretch for my dog, (she’s 11 years old and a rottweiler – big dog) she was really tired when we’d walked halfway. Poor dog she was relieved when we finally arrived at home where she could have a drink of water and lie still on the carpet. I continued to answer examination questions.

Tuesday I vacuumed the entire house went apparatus display for my biology exam at my school and then collected my friend Sasha to venture home to study at my house. On the way home I deposited some money in the bank and invited Sasha to eat an icecream with me. (Maxibon, drool-face. Oh that ice…) We conquered quite a deal of biology but there’s still a long way to go.

Things I have to do:

Finish with biology

Start figuring out my Danish oral test (the test is tuesday right after biology, which doesn’t suck. Warning! Heavyyyy. Sarcasm!

Expressing the same thing in two photos

Okay I was bored, so I played A LITTLE with a picture of my dog.

And then there is this picture of me, goofing around in Copenhagen with my boyfriend taking photos.

I think that the photos express the same thing; the desire for what is out of our reach. What do you think? Is it too far-fetched?

The day I was a test subject

Well my beloved boyfriend bought his brother’s camera that’s not more than ½ year old and so he needed a test subject. Translated roughly: me.

That’s how it turned out:

NOTE THAT I TOOK THE FIRST FOUR PICTURES MYSELF! (out of boredom)

Don’t mind the weird face. Haha :D I’ve no idea how to model so I were just goofing around.
